Booking an Appointment
A current McMaster University student card is required to be seen for medical/nursing/counselling services. A student must also have a valid provincial or territorial health card, or a UHIP card (University Health Insurance Plan – for international students). International students without a UHIP card must provide proof of coverage with a pre-approved insurance plan from the ISS (International Student Services) Office.

ACCESSING THE SWC DURING COVID-19
Here is what to expect:
- Enter the building and take the elevator up to the 2nd floor.
- Follow the signage to the SWC.
- Immediately sanitize your hands.
- Check in with the receptionist, showing your health card, and student ID.
We are asking that masks are worn inside of the reception and medical areas if you are currently experiencing cold or flu symptoms.
Please call 905-525-9140 ext. 27700 to speak with a receptionist if you need an appointment or are having trouble finding us.

Medical services are not available to:
- MBA students

- Visiting PhD students
- Post-Doctoral Fellows

Counselling services and wellness education are available to:
