How to Celebrate Valentine’s Around Campus

Whether you are spending Valentines with a romantic partner, a friend, family or yourself, here are some ideas on what to do around McMaster! 

Student Wellness Centre Events!

  • Urinate Before Your Date
    • Free, confidential chlamydia and gonorrhea urine tests, plus Valentine’s Day treat bags!
    • Feb 11, PGCLL, Level 1, 10am-3pm 
  • Period Poverty Advocacy Workshop 
    • Join us in the Wellness Lounge to learn about period poverty advocacy from our friends at the Period Purse Toronto. Leave with a better understanding about menstrual equity and what you can do to help!
    • Feb 12, 1:30-2:30pm, online
  • Love Better Drop-In Group (cancelled)
    • Details: Learn about qualities of healthy and unhealthy relationships with our counsellor, Liz Nabi.
  • International Grocery Store Trip (cancelled due to weather) 
    • These trips offer an opportunity to connect with different cultures through food while also exploring other culinary traditions. Enjoy free food tastings and gain valuable tips on grocery budgeting and maintaining a balanced diet.
  • Belly Rubs with Biscuit (cancelled due to weather) 
    • Join us in the Wellness lounge for some belly rubs and her wonderful therapy partner Rev. Allison Barrett.
  • Embracing Gender Diversity Drop-In group
    • Hosted by an SWC Counsellor
    • When: 10:30am-12pm
    • Where: PGCLL, Level 2, Room 206
    • Details: Discuss topics around navigating sex and sexuality as it relates to gender diversity with our counsellor, Michael Morton.

  • Make a friend, Create a Valentine event 
    • Join us in the Wellness lounge to meet new friends, create some Valentine’s and enjoy some Valentine themed snacks!

    • Enjoy an afternoon viewing art at the McMaster Museum of Art (MMA). MMA engages, educates and inspires, and is a perfect place to take friends, family and loved ones.
