Food For Thought

Food for Thought offers a series of fun and interactive classes for McMaster students of all cooking and food experiences. We provide opportunities to discover and experience how to cook healthy, affordable and delicious meals. Come learn to cook with us!

Our cooking classes will be run by facilitators who understand the in’s and out’s of eating well on a student budget. The classes are offered free of charge.

Food for Thought classes and workshops provide an opportunity to gain some of the following skills:

  • Develop confidence and creativity in the kitchen
  • Discover new techniques for preparing foods
  • Practice safe and efficient cooking and food handling methods
  • Gain an understanding of local, seasonal foods
  • Learn practical ways to incorporate healthy meals and snacks on a budget

Food for Thought is a working group made up of food enthusiasts from various McMaster and community groups:

Food for Thought cooking classes and programs are funded through the Mac10 Giving program with donations from graduates of the last 10 years and the McMaster Alumni Association.
