In a small group setting, participants will learn to define social anxiety and talk more effectively about it with others. Using CBT and narrative therapy skills, participants will learn practical ways to cope with the socially anxious thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
Group topics will cover the following:
1) Defining and externalizing social anxiety
2) Models of social anxiety
3) Understanding values, vulnerability, and self-disclosure
4) Understanding authenticity, vulnerability, and shame.
