The DBT Skills group is focused on providing 10-12 participants the opportunity to learn new strategies and skills to help manage intense emotions.
Dialectical behaviour therapy teaches us how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate emotions and improve relationships with others. Participants will engage in mindfulness practices in each session with a primary focus on emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills. An introduction to interpersonal effectiveness skills will be explored in the final session.
