Art therapy is a treatment approach that integrates psychotherapy with a creative process that aids in the improvement of one’s overall wellbeing. It allows the participant to work through difficult experiences and emotions, verbally and non-verbally to discover and communicate how they feel.
In this group you will be guided through a process using art prompts that will help you discover and understand the impact of difficult emotions and experiences on the self which can impede the successful implementation of useful coping strategies. This process also aids in the development of a positive sense of self and helps with uncovering insight into thoughts and feelings. Art experience or talent is not needed or required.
